About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a top-tier firm that operates nationwide. Our team is highly experienced in drugs offences, violent crime, and sexual offences, and we also offer specialist expertise in fraud, proceeds of crime, and prison law.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in criminal proceedings, including court appearances, trials, and hearings.
  • Liaise with clients, counsel, defendants, and other parties.
  • Collate and review documentation and evidence.
  • Obtain medical/accountancy evidence when required and have the ability to interpret that evidence and advise accordingly.
  • Litigate cases and conduct advocacy.
  • Negotiate with prosecutors on behalf of clients.
  • Manage a caseload efficiently.

Requirements

  • Full qualification as a police station representative.
  • Experience of criminal law within the last five years.
  • Knowledge of the Legal Aid system.
  • Advocacy and litigation skills.
  • Clean and valid practicing certificate at the time of applying.
  • Excellent client care skills with the ability to represent vulnerable clients.
