ERP Systems Consultant

Thales is a global leader in the aerospace, transportation, defence, security, and space industries. We are seeking an experienced ERP Systems Consultant to join our team in Crawley, UK.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in implementing ERP systems, with a strong understanding of Oracle ERP solutions. They will be responsible for providing functional consulting services, gathering and documenting business requirements, and managing the implementation process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision of functional consulting services for ERP systems and group/business applications
  • Gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements and process flow charts
  • Providing hands-on analysis, design, testing, training, implementation, and support utilizing prescribed software design lifecycle techniques and system documentation techniques (AIMS/OUM)
  • Assisting in defining and optimizing simple yet effective business processes and driving change within the organization through negotiation and consensus-building
  • Ensuring ERP initiatives follow the proper planning, scheduling, and management processes
  • Managing on-time project delivery and business expectations and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Assisting with risk management and change management on projects
  • Working closely with the business community, participating in user and task analysis to maintain the business community's perspective, and coaching and mentoring via workshops and/or transition support activities

Requirements:

  • ERP solution expert with a minimum of three years' experience in ERP implementation
  • Essential functional skills: ERP modules/functionality as appropriate to domain, manufacturing and supply chain modules, procurement/purchasing modules, projects modules, repair/service modules, finance modules, broad IT knowledge, specifically on large ERP type systems (SAP/IBS/CODA)
  • Knowledge/experience of design to implementation methodologies, with experience gained on ERP implementation projects
  • Technical IT (security, transaction processing, user interface, data management, operating systems services)
  • Understanding of SLA and service delivery
  • Good communicator, both written and verbal
  • Team working and line management of delivery/support teams
  • Logical analysis
  • Business awareness (business case, organization, business process, strategic planning, business functions)
  • IT development skills (DBA, SQL, web)
  • Excellent Word, Excel, VISIO, PowerPoint skills, office technologies
