SGS Glasgow is a leading provider of biosafety testing services, with a global centre of excellence for testing cell banks and bulk harvests for vaccines, gene and cell therapies, monoclonal antibodies, and other recombinant protein-based biological medicines.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Molecular QC analyst with a proven track record in Sanger sequencing to join our team responsible for providing this service to clients to ensure the safety of their products.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform Sanger sequencing to a high technical standard and in compliance with GLP and GMP regulations.
- Analyse and interpret complex data, delivering a high technical standard while meeting regulatory requirements.
- Document deviations and work with the team to conduct investigations and out of specifications, ensuring that root cause and contributory factors are defined and appropriate corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs) are identified and completed on time.
- Work positively and collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver on-site key performance indicators.
- Proven experience in performing Sanger sequencing in a regulatory environment.
- Hold a degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Be proficient in performing various molecular biology techniques, including nucleic acid extraction, gel electrophoresis, PCR/qPCR, and Sanger Sequencing.
- Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and possess superb communication abilities, both in writing and speaking.
