Community Support Assistant

ENS Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Worker to join our team in Chelmsford. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with a learning disability, epilepsy, and challenging behaviour.
About the Role:This is a part-time, ad-hoc position to cover staff shortages. You will be required to work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday shifts. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to provide reassurance, continuity, and consistency in daily routines.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the individual in their daily activities, including swimming at Riverside Leisure Centre
- Assist with accessing the community, including coffee shops and charity shops
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to the individual
- Work collaboratively with the individual's support network to ensure their needs are met
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 6 months of care experience in the UK, supporting individuals with learning disabilities, epilepsy, and challenging behaviour
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with the individual and their support network
- A patient and empathetic approach to supporting individuals with complex needs
