Job Title: Learning Disabilities Support Worker - Chelmsford

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Learning Disabilities Support Worker to join our team at Thornbury Community Services in Chelmsford, Essex. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling our clients to live safe and fulfilled lives, achieving personal goals, learning new hobbies, and taking trips into the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support clients with learning disabilities and/or autism in their daily lives
  • Assist with personal care, medication, and mobility
  • Encourage independence and participation in activities
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure high-quality care

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 months of UK-based experience in learning disabilities support
  • Confidence in performing physical interventions
  • Experience with restraint training and physical intervention
  • Passion, resilience, and strong communication skills
