Specialist Study Skills and Strategy Support Tutor

Beacon Support Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Study Skills and Strategy Support Tutor to work with Higher Education students with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC). The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching and learning, with a focus on supporting students with ASC to develop their study skills and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work one-to-one with students with ASC to develop their study skills and strategies
- Collaborate with students to create Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) to support their learning goals
- Provide guidance and support to students on how to use assistive technologies and related AT study skills strategies
- Work with students to identify and build on their learning strengths
- Develop and maintain a confidential and professional working relationship with students
Requirements:
- Teaching qualification
- Experience of working with students with ASC on a one-to-one basis
- Knowledge of assistive technologies and related AT study skills strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
