About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Advisor to lead our primary care diabetes programme. As a specialist nurse advisor, you will work closely with patients and healthcare professionals to provide the most up-to-date care for individuals with diabetes.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive nursing programme that drives best practice and delivers excellent patient care.
  • Collaborating with the NHS in primary care to ensure seamless delivery of care to patients.
  • Providing education, support, and advice to people with Type 2 Diabetes, utilising your expertise in the optimisation of oral hypoglycaemics.
  • Maintaining a high level of IT literacy, including primary care systems.


Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience managing diabetes within primary care
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a defined geographical area
• Excellent organisational and planning skills, with a full UK driving licence
• Current (NMC) Registration and Diabetes Diploma or Equivalent
