Maintenance Shift Manager Job Description

A leading food manufacturing company in Shropshire is seeking a skilled Maintenance Shift Manager to oversee the maintenance of their production facility in Market Drayton. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers to achieve maximum plant and equipment efficiency
  • Ensure planned engineering tasks are completed on time and in full
  • Implement good repair and manufacturing practices to minimize downtime
  • Monitor and approve time sheets for the team and perform HR duties
Requirements:
  • Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G's or NVQ Level 3 or ideally ONC/HNC level
  • Multi-skilled with mechanical and electrical knowledge
  • Supervisor/team leader experience or good experience to show readiness for the next stage in career
  • Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production
