About the Role
This is a Band 6 Deputy Sister position in the Gynaecology service at the East Midlands Planned Care Centre. The post holder will have continuing clinical responsibility for managing the department in the absence of the ward manager, including understanding finances, staff rosters, sickness and absence, delegation and supervision of staff, and being visible and approachable for patients, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver consistently high standards of nursing care that meet the individual needs of patients.
- Develop management and leadership skills with particular emphasis on quality and clinical standards.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to staff, ensuring effective use of resources.
Person Specification
- RGN - first level.
- Diploma or Degree in nursing or health-related subject.
- Evidence of successful change management.
- Evidence of post-registration educational continuing development.
