We currently have a vacancy for a Band 6 Deputy Ward Sister/Charge Nurse to come and join our expanding team at Stewart House, The Rise, Narborough, LE19 4SL.
Stewart House is a 30 bedded rehabilitation service which cares for people with severe and enduring mental health difficulties. We support service users to gain or regain their confidence and skills in everyday activities which promotes a positive approach to long-term recovery.
People wishing to join the team at Stewart House should be motivated to work in a service that offers a recovery-orientated approach, delivering person-centred care through collaboration involvement.
The successful candidate will support and input into the service redesign and will work closely with the senior management team in ensuring colleagues and service users are represented throughout the changes to mental health services. The team is friendly, dynamic and constantly evolving to offer the best support and treatment to patients.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will demonstrate they possess the same core values as our organisation, Compassion, Respect, Trust and Integrity in all aspects of their work.
You will be expected to provide clinical, managerial, and educational leadership to a team of registered and unregistered nursing staff and take an active lead in, or facilitate, the development of ward initiatives to improve the provision of care.
The post holder, in the absence of the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse, will take responsibility for the management of the ward; ensuring the smooth day to day running of the ward and ensuring the wards systems and standards are maintained.
