Job Overview
Benson Mack Search is proud to offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Senior Development Manager to join our client's team in the renewable energy sector. As part of this team, you will play a key role in planning and developing utility-scale solar and BESS projects across England and Wales.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in project development, with experience in planning, environmental impact assessment, and land acquisition. You should also have a track record of successfully securing planning permissions and consents for large-scale energy projects in the UK or Ireland.

Your responsibilities will include leading the planning, management, and delivery of solar and BESS projects from origination to ready-to-build status. This will involve engaging with local authorities, landowners, stakeholders, and the wider public. You will also be responsible for managing external consultants and contractors, running tender processes, and coordinating community and stakeholder consultation meetings.

Additionally, you will need to liaise with internal teams and coordinate external consultants on grid capacity and connection opportunities. You will also manage project budgets and report on project progress.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who can contribute to the success of our client's renewable energy projects. If you have a degree in a relevant subject and excellent project management skills, we encourage you to apply.

Key Requirements:
  • Strong background in project development, with experience in planning, environmental impact assessment, and land acquisition.
