Production Manager

RBW Consulting is partnering with an international advanced pharmaceutical company to fill a key leadership and management position across UK sites.

This specific hire will take management and scheduling responsibilities for all site production activities. A core aspect of the role will be the leadership of the production team to create clear expectations, measurables and deliverables, as well as ensuring that there is a strong training and development ethos across the group.

Whilst this will not be hands on day to day, given the size of the unit, you will need to be comfortable being on the shop floor and supporting the team, directly and indirectly through the Production Supervisors.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a pharmaceutical GMP environment, with a proven track record of people management and leadership. Knowledge and experience of validation activities, including equipment and process validation, is also desirable.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the production team to achieve site production goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement production schedules and plans
  • Ensure compliance with GMP regulations and company policies
  • Manage and develop production staff
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth production operations

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Proven leadership and management experience in a pharmaceutical GMP environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of GMP regulations and company policies
  • Ability to manage and develop production staff
