Job Title: Electromagnetic Compatibility Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) specialist to join our team at BAE Systems.

As an EMC specialist, you will be responsible for providing support to engineering delivery teams in defining electromagnetic requirements and undertaking specialist testing of systems, sub-systems, and components to achieve contractual compliance for EMC design.

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role
  • Specify and manage requirements and acceptance criteria specific to a system, platforms, or programmes.
  • Advise design teams on EMC requirements and design considerations.
  • Liaise with EMC test engineers to design and specify testing regimes to prove system compliance against relevant standards.
  • Design and implement system mitigation to meet EMC standards.
  • Mentor and coach Engineers within the team.
About You
  • BEng (Hons)/MEng or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional registration at Chartered level or evidence of working towards this.
  • Experience of design for EMC compliance.
  • Knowledge of EMC Defence Standards would be an advantage.
  • Proven experience and ability to coach others in a team.
