Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop low signature equipment and systems that meet customer requirements
  • Support the generation of electromagnetic and non-acoustic signature reports at key review stages of the submarine design
  • Conduct modeling and simulation of the electromagnetic and non-acoustic signature contributions of equipment and systems using commercial software packages
  • Conduct instrumentation, measurement, and assessment of submarine machinery to ensure signature levels meet stealth requirements
  • Support large-scale electromagnetic and non-acoustic signature trials during major commissioning activities
  • Lead research projects completed within the department and with partner universities

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Maths, Physics, Oceanography, or related fields
  • Computer modeling software experience and/or programming skills
