EICA Engineering Specialist Job Description

We are seeking an EICA Engineering Specialist to join our team at MWH Treatment in Preston. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality engineering design services to our clients.

The EICA Engineering Specialist will be responsible for co-ordinating the design process, producing design documents and drawings, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, specifications, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design cost-effective layouts that meet specification requirements and can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
  • Ensure standard practices are utilised wherever possible, maintain competitiveness, and provide estimates and feedback for the Proposals department.
  • Work to established procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the department.
  • Maintain files and records throughout the duration of contracts.
  • Assure customer satisfaction.
  • Work within a culture where satisfying the customer is recognised as the key to achieving other objectives.

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of water and sewage treatment principles.
  • Experience of managing members of staff in designing relevant discipline aspects of water and sewage treatment plants.
  • Membership of a professional institution chartered or nearing chartership.
  • Relevant discipline Engineering HND.
  • Ability to rationalise designs and produce economic plant layouts.
  • Good general knowledge of all aspects of water treatment.
