Job Summary
We are looking for a seasoned professional to lead our client projects, manage engagement teams, and develop innovative pricing strategies. As a Pricing Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for delivering successful outcomes for our clients, driving business growth, and contributing to the development of our pricing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage client projects, ensuring timely delivery and successful outcomes.
- Lead the problem-solving process and day-to-day management of the engagement team.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies, including price strategy, product-price proposition design, competitor analysis, and pricing architecture.
- Act as a trusted internal and external pricing expert, providing guidance and support to clients and colleagues.
- Guide engagement teams to create sophisticated communications that motivate clients to action.
- Contribute to the development of innovative approaches, including differentiated points of view and methodologies.
- Mentor and coach junior staff to help them grow and perform at a level that will challenge them professionally.
- Line management of up to 4 Analyst and Senior Consultant reports, managing their development plans and growth opportunities.
- Account management, working with company leaders to identify and progress sales opportunities.
- Proposals, supporting the leadership team members in driving proposal development.
- Network, developing a professional network and maintaining relationships with clients.
Requirements
- Circa 5-8 years' relevant experience in a pricing role, including time in a consulting role.
- High calibre graduate from a leading university with a degree in a numerate subject, such as Engineering, Maths, Operational Research, or Economics.
- Track record of successful project delivery and client management, excellent organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong people leader, adept at managing teams' work while developing colleagues' capabilities.
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Exceptional client-facing and interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Interest in mentoring others and helping colleagues' development.
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
- SQL, statistical packages, R, and Tableau are desirable.
