Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Misuse Nurse to join our team at Practice Plus Group. As a leading provider of NHS services to secure environments, we are committed to delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop individualized packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning.
  • Deliver a range of treatment options, including clinical and psychosocial interventions, in both group and one-to-one settings.
  • Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects, and liaise with prescribers.
  • Support individuals in group work delivery and liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners on clinical interventions.
  • Assess individuals' health needs using an evidence-based framework and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Qualified Registered Nurse (Mental Health) with a passion for developing clinical skills in an ever-changing environment.
  • RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake this to support development.
  • Good IT skills and IT literacy.
  • Experience of working with opiate-dependent patients is advantageous, as well as sound clinical substance misuse knowledge.
