Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Specialist to join our team at FedEx. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles to ensure they are safe, legal, and fit for duty.
  • Complete service and inspection records, defect reports, and associated paperwork to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare vehicles for annual MOT testing to ensure first-time pass.
  • Perform ad-hoc vehicle repairs, investigate, and rectify vehicle defects.

Requirements:

  • Applicable licenses, e.g., LGV C&E license (class one)
  • Knowledge of automotive equipment and testing/troubleshooting equipment
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy vehicle components
  • Experience with welding and basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Valid driving license
