Vehicle Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team at FedEx. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring our fleet of vehicles and trailers are safe, legal, and fit for duty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles and trailers in accordance with planned maintenance schedules.
  • Completing signed service and inspection records, as well as defect reports and associated paperwork to comply with legal requirements.
  • Preparing vehicles and trailers for annual MOT testing to ensure first-time pass.
  • Performing ad-hoc vehicle repairs, investigating and rectifying vehicle defects.

Requirements:

  • Valid LGV C&E license (class one) and applicable vocational training.
  • Knowledge of the use and operation of all automotive equipment and testing/troubleshooting equipment.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy vehicle components.
  • Experience with welding and basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid driving license.
