My client offers environmentally friendly packaging solutions to a wide range of services in various markets such as food service, supermarkets, industrial, and fresh produce. They are looking for a business development manager to cover Scotland and work on the consumables side of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will have a proven track record in developing and winning new business in the UK/Scotland.
- You will be driven to succeed and will also have the ability to work with a highly effective sales support team to maximize the service of the company.
- Be able to deal with new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, services prospection, negotiation, and commercial follow-up of UK customers and branching out further afield acting in the markets targeted by the organization.
- You will be able to manage your time and diary effectively to achieve set KPIs.
- You will be working with internal stakeholders on an international scale to ensure a smooth transition through the sales process.
- Promote the company and its business.
Requirements:
- A good understanding of Microsoft Office Software.
- Strong account management and new business skills.
- Sound experience in a sales environment is key and ideally from the following industries: Packaging, Fresh Produce, FMCG, Distribution, or other related industries.
- Strong technical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good communication skills both written and verbally.
- Experience of closing and negotiation techniques.
- Adaptable and flexible on managing workload.
