Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity within the North East & North Cumbria ICB to work as a Safeguarding Support Administrator. The post is for maternity cover until March 2025 with a possible extension of contract thereafter.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will provide and coordinate administrative and secretarial support for the Local Safeguarding Delivery Team. The postholder will function as a first point of contact for safeguarding enquires and act as a link to other members of the team accordingly.

The post holder will direct specific enquiries to the relevant member of the team if necessary and provide a record of progress. They will develop an understanding of the responsibilities of the Safeguarding team to deal appropriately with queries and routine matters.

The post holder will perform general administrative duties in support of the team and deliver against those areas of work identified in the job description.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The post holder will need to have excellent communication and engagement skills and meet the essential criteria outlined within the Job Description. They will need to have a good standard of general education and significant secretarial and administrative experience.

The post holder will also need to have experience using a range of work procedures and practices, the majority of which are non-routine. Additional qualifications in word processing and spreadsheets are desirable.
