Senior SEO Manager

The Telegraph is seeking a highly skilled Senior SEO Manager to lead its evergreen content strategies. As a key member of the Audience team, you will be responsible for managing and improving a small team of evergreen SEOs, analyzing content performance, and creating product improvements from a technical perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage evergreen content strategies, planning, briefing, and optimizing content for multiple desks.
  • Manage and improve a small team of evergreen SEOs, actively seeking to improve their skills to achieve personal and business objectives.
  • Analyze content performance across core evergreen categories, notably Health and Money, to continually optimize performance.
  • Setup and manage monthly reports that can be easily digested by senior members of the team.
  • Help create, improve, and maintain evergreen SEO guides and training materials for writers and other members of the SEO team.
  • Work closely with the editorial team, supporting with SEO advice, training sessions, options, and optimizations.
  • Work with the technical SEO team to create product improvements from a technical perspective.
  • Stay up-to-date with the world of SEO, attending events, and staying ahead of the search engine ecosystem.

Requirements:

  • Excellent project management skills.
  • A thorough understanding of Google, Google Discover, and how SEO works.
  • Experience managing SEO content projects from cradle to grave.
  • Prior experience working in an editorial setting.
  • An analytical and data-driven approach to surfacing content opportunities, trending topics, delivering actionable insights, and identifying opportunities.
  • An ability to build relationships across the business.
  • Experience delivering strategic presentations to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience using multiple industry-leading tools (GSC, ahrefs, SemRush, etc.).
  • Numerate and fluent in aggregating and analyzing core campaign performance metrics.
