Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Category Lead to join our Indirect Spend team at Stagecoach Group. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for managing and steering the end-to-end sourcing process for essential products and services that support our depots' operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our Indirect Spend Category Manager to support our operating companies in managing a portfolio of contracts across products and services, including waste management, vending and catering, tools, and stationery.
  • Source the right products and suppliers while mitigating risk to the business, leveraging the expertise of our subject matter experts.
  • Build strong relationships with external supply chain partners and stakeholders across our business.
  • Contribute to the development of our procurement strategy and help shape our department's direction.

Requirements

  • Background in facilities-related procurement, with experience in tendering for goods and services, contract creation, negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for numbers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in developing and supporting team members.
  • CIPS qualifications or working towards them are desirable.
