Procurement Category Lead for Indirect Spend

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Category Lead to join our Indirect Spend team at Stagecoach Group. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing and steering the end-to-end sourcing process for essential products and services our depots operate.
About the Role:
You will work closely with our Indirect Spend Category Manager to support our operating companies, managing a portfolio of contracts across both products and services, including waste and vending/catering, tools and stationery. Your role will involve sourcing the right products and suppliers while mitigating risk to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and steer the end-to-end sourcing process for essential products and services
- Work closely with the Indirect Spend Category Manager to support operating companies
- Manage a portfolio of contracts across products and services
- Sourcing the right products and suppliers while mitigating risk to the business
- Build strong relationships with external supply chain partners
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need a background in facilities-related procurement, experience in tendering for goods and services, contract creation and negotiation, and supplier relationship management. You will also need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience of developing and supporting team members. Relevant CIPS qualifications are desirable.
