Job Title: Category Lead for Direct Spend

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Lead for Direct Spend to join our Logistics department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and steering the end-to-end sourcing of parts for our buses.

About the Role:
  • Manage our portfolio of spares contracts for our vehicles to ensure our people have the best parts, at the best prices, at the right place and time.
  • Work closely with our Direct Spend Category Manager to support our operating companies and build great relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize our direct spend procurement processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure that our procurement practices are aligned with our business objectives.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in formal tendering, contract, and supplier relationship management, with a focus on direct spend.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Significant experience with analyzing high-volume data and a keen eye for detail.
  • Commercially focused with a passion for numbers.
  • Experience of developing and supporting team members.
  • Relevant CIPS qualifications (or working towards).
