About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Shop Assistant Manager to join our team at Disabled Workers Co-operative in Bridport. As an Assistant Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our shop, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the shop floor, including supervising staff, maintaining high standards of customer service, and achieving sales targets.
  • Deputise for the Shop Manager as required, taking charge of the shop and making key decisions when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and data, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales targets, improve customer satisfaction, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to visual merchandising, window displays, and in-store promotions to attract customers and drive sales.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in retail management or a related field, with a track record of success in driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays, to meet the needs of the business.

  • A competitive salary of £23,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
