Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Motor Specialist to join our team in Wellingborough. As part of our ambitious growth plans, we are looking for an enthusiastic professional to work on site and in our workshop, assessing, repairing, and installing industrial motors, gearboxes, and pumps.

About the Role:

  1. Install, maintain, and repair AC and DC motor control systems at customer sites.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to motor controls on a wide variety of machinery.
  3. Provide technical support and guidance to clients across various industries.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product and service quality.
  5. Follow electrical and mechanical codes, manufacturers' guidance, and operating manuals to maintain safety and compliance.
  6. Collaborate with other engineers to coordinate installation and where necessary repairs.
  7. Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and documents.
  8. Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard while complying with our Health and Safety requirements to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
  9. Add-hoc project work.
  10. Any other reasonable tasks requested by management.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience with AC and DC motors, servo, and motor controls.
  2. Detailed knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and safety.
  3. Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  5. The aptitude and attitude to fit into a growing business in a technical field.
