We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Patient Access Co-ordinator to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our Radiotherapy department, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive timely and appropriate appointments for outpatient and inpatient radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment.
Main Responsibilities- Act as a point of contact for queries relating to scheduling of patient appointments and co-ordination of patient treatment pathways.
- Provide a professional and efficient point of contact for patients, ensuring telephone calls and email correspondence are answered within the agreed time and in line with departmental policy.
- Identify individual patient needs and co-ordinate support for patient attendance, including accessibility, patient transport, and interpreter services.
- Support the scheduling of all patients' appointments in line with Trust and National waiting time targets.
- Attend regular meetings with management and clinical teams to review capacity and support action to utilize clinical capacity.
- Assist in investigating any complaints or incidents that arise in relation to scheduled appointments.

Person SpecificationWe are seeking a candidate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage their own time and prioritize tasks. A basic knowledge of computers and keyboard skills are also essential. Experience in customer service and supporting cancer patients is desirable.
