Research Scientist, Platform Technology Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Scientist to join our dynamic Platform Technology and Science team at Bicycle Therapeutics. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and deploying our proprietary technology to support our early drug discovery efforts.
Key Responsibilities:- Phage Display Campaigns: Plan, execute, and troubleshoot phage display campaigns using our proprietary Bicycle platform, including phage panning, library design, sequencing (Sanger & NGS), and characterisation of Bicycle binders.
- Platform Technology Innovations: Design, test, and implement innovations to our platform technology, staying up-to-date with current literature and seeking ideas from internal and external sources to bring about process/technology evolution.
- Data Generation and Analysis: Generate robust data packages to support project milestones and analyse and present complex data to internal and external stakeholders.
- Record Keeping and Collaboration: Accurately and timely record keeping via electronic lab notebook system (Dotmatics) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams both locally and remotely.
- Essential: PhD in a biological or chemical subject, or equivalent scientific grounding, experience of working in a multi-disciplinary, industrial laboratory, detailed understanding of protein biochemistry, theoretical knowledge and practical experience of biophysical techniques, and demonstrable track record problem solving and improving laboratory processes.
- Desirable: Phage or other display technology experience, high throughput screening of biologics, peptides, or small molecules, and degree level chemistry or biochemistry.
