Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Education Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust. As an Education Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and healthcare sectors.

Main Responsibilities

As an Education Mental Health Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering low-intensity psychological interventions to children, young people, parents, and carers
  • Working collaboratively with schools and other educational settings to provide mental health support
  • Developing and maintaining positive therapeutic relationships with service users and carers
  • Referring to other services as appropriate and working within set criteria

Person Specification

We are looking for a qualified or pending qualification Education Mental Health Practitioner with:

  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Able to write clear reports and letters
  • Ability to form positive therapeutic relationships with service users and carers while maintaining appropriate boundaries
  • Experience of working within set criteria and referring to other services as appropriate
