About the Role

We are seeking a highly creative and innovative Development Designer to join our client's team. You will play a key role in bringing unique and visually appealing concepts to life for a range of projects, primarily focusing on fixtures and display units.

As a Creative Development Designer, your responsibilities will encompass both the conceptualization and practical execution of designs. This involves working with various materials like metalwork, acrylic, and wood, utilizing your understanding of CNC technology to create prototypes and final products.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop innovative concepts for fixtures and display units, considering both aesthetics and functionality.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Produce compelling visual designs, including concept drawings and technical specifications.
  • Present design concepts to clients, effectively communicating the creative vision and rationale behind each idea.
  • Work collaboratively with other creatives to ensure cohesive and impactful visual communication across all projects.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, new design techniques, and software applications to enhance your creative development processes.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a creative design role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate ideas and creative concepts.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your creative design work and demonstrating a diverse range of projects and styles.
