Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Psychologist to lead the management, development, and delivery of psycho-social interventions within our Primary Mental Health Treatment Requirement (MHTR) service in Leicestershire.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Chartered Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist to join our clinical leadership team. You will provide clinical guidance, training, and leadership to a team of Senior Assistant and Assistant Psychologists who facilitate psycho-social interventions with individuals on a Mental Health Treatment Requirement.

You will work closely with our Clinical Lead under the supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and bespoke interventions using standardized outcome measures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the systematic governance of the MHTR service, working collaboratively with operational colleagues.
  2. Offer practical advice on evidence-based psychological interventions to colleagues, local agencies, and organizations.
  3. Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative approaches within the MHTR service.
Requirements
  • Doctorate in Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychology.
  • Up-to-date registration with the Health and Social Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Proven ability to deliver psychological services, particularly in substance misuse settings.
  • Experience of leading and supervising clinical staff, ideally in a similar setting.
