About the Role

At Munich Re Specialty Group, we are seeking a talented Risk Management Professional to join our team. As a key member of our risk management department, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a comprehensive risk management framework that aligns with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of a risk management framework that meets the requirements of Munich Re, PRA, FCA, and Lloyd's.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure effective controls are designed and operating effectively to mitigate identified risks.
  • Manage incident management processes and ensure timely inclusion in the MRSG Incident Register and associated governance/IRM reporting.
  • Design and maintain appropriate key risk indicators (KRIs) and RAG trigger limits to monitor trends in risk exposures.
  • Lead, contribute, and/or deliver risk training and awareness initiatives on behalf of the Risk team as required.
  • Raise the profile of risk management and work with the business to support understanding.
  • Contribute to the review and development of the risk management framework to ensure it meets the business's emerging needs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in risk management, internal or external audit experience, and suitable qualification.
  • In-depth understanding of the general insurance industry, preferably of the Lloyd's or general insurance market.
  • Excellent report writing skills, experience of preparing reports and presentations for senior management/committee or board review.
  • Able to question and challenge the business at all levels, including senior management and directors, and present considered and balanced risk opinions, findings, and recommendations.
  • Broad knowledge of Solvency II and Lloyd's market is an advantage.
