The ideal candidate will have a background in highways engineering, projects, and contracts, with a strong understanding of commercial return on investment and cost management. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Maximising commercial return through effective cost management and value for money initiatives.
  2. Driving efficiency savings by identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-effective solutions.
  3. Maintaining profitability through ongoing review and analysis of orders and schemes.
  4. Reviewing and reporting weekly costs and values, as well as liaising with operations teams.
  5. Managing subcontract accounts from procurement to final account.
  6. Monthly forecasting of the contract to ensure accurate budgeting and financial planning.
  7. Commercial management and reporting in conjunction with operational managers.
  8. Managing subcontractors from enquiry to final account.

This is a long-term contracting opportunity with a major highways business, offering the potential for an OUTSIDE IR35 set up.

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
