Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Engineering Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Capex Engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering engineering capex projects from concept to commissioning within a varied process manufacturing environment.



Key Responsibilities



  • Pre-engineering scoping, costing, and capital expenditure request document preparation
  • Giving regular stakeholder updates on project progress using executive summaries and project timelines
  • Engaging and communicating with shift teams to ensure installations meet operations requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensuring installations comply with relevant H&S guidelines and regulations
  • Producing tender documents for suppliers to ensure competitive bidding on project works and working with central procurement to secure contracts
  • Preparing and issuing relevant documentation such as drawings, cable schedules, commissioning documents, equipment schedules, FAT, SAT, H&S checklists, risk assessments
  • Managing contractors in the work area, preparing permits, and reviewing risk assessments and method statements
  • Commissioning installations with the project team and suppliers, ensuring full snag tracking and close-out through commissioning, qualification, and verification
  • Ensuring relevant handover documentation is in place, including OEM manuals, training documents, and risk assessments


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Proven experience of delivering significant capex investment projects
  • Degree or time-served apprenticeship (NVQ lvl 4) in an engineering discipline
  • Experience of hands-on commissioning
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with experience navigating complex projects
  • Experience of managing tender processes and delivering against financial budgets
  • Experience and/or understanding of Prince2 and stage-and-gate project management techniques


What We Offer


We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as excellent benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
