Senior Pharmacist – Trauma and Orthopaedics Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Pharmacist to lead our Trauma and Orthopaedics team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical pharmacy services to patients and staff across our trauma and orthopaedics wards and specialties.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for trauma and orthopaedics patients, including medication management and optimization.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Provide strategic guidance on clinical pharmacy issues and offer professional leadership in this area of care.
- Identify areas for improvement in pharmaceutical care and prescribing, and develop policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective handling of medications.
- Lead and deliver education and training to healthcare professionals on pharmaceutical aspects of trauma and orthopaedics.
- Manage and train junior rotational staff, and act as a team leader for the clinical pharmacy team.
