Locum Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics

About the Role
University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team as a Locum Consultant. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy major trauma centre, providing high-quality care to patients with complex trauma injuries.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out trauma surgery, including complex trauma of the upper and lower limbs. They will also join the general adult on-call rota, which will comprise being on-call 1:16 weekdays and 1:8 weekends. In addition, they will be expected to cover specialist trauma lists for the management of complex periarticular injuries and open fractures in conjunction with our team of plastic surgeons.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have fellowship training in trauma surgery and experience of working in the UK major trauma system. They will also have the ability to train orthopaedic trainees in theatre and clinic. We are committed to providing ongoing support and development opportunities for our staff, including CPD, research, and audit.
