Locum Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team as a Locum Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out trauma surgery, including complex trauma of the upper and lower limbs, at our busy major trauma centre.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out trauma surgery, including complex trauma of the upper and lower limbs
- Join the general adult on-call rota, comprising being on-call 1:16 weekdays and 1:8 weekends
- Participate in fracture clinics, supported by consultants, associate specialists, and specialty registrars
- Cover specialist trauma lists for the management of complex periarticular injuries and open fractures in conjunction with our team of plastic surgeons
- Demonstrate ability to train orthopaedic trainees in theatre and clinic
- Fellowship training in trauma surgery
- Experience of working in the UK major trauma system
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
