Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Marshalls. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous running of our production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and equipment maintenance.
About the Role
As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be involved in a variety of engineering tasks, ensuring a proactive approach to preventing equipment failure. You will work on various types of equipment, including complex mechanical maintenance within hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems. Your responsibilities will include carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on site, and you will be responsible for ensuring a true mix of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities on site to ensure the continuous running of the production process.
- Work on various types of equipment, including complex mechanical maintenance within hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
- Ensure a proactive approach to preventing equipment failure through regular maintenance and inspections.
- Collaborate with other engineering team members to ensure effective maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
Requirements
- Apprentice-trained Engineer to NVQ Level 3 standard in Electrical Engineering, with a bonus for the 18th Edition qualification.
- Good working knowledge of electrical engineering within a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
- PLC experience and fault finding skills are desirable, with Siemens PLCs being used on site.
- A flexible approach to varying work activities, including production requirements.
- Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- A clear passion for engineering with a desire to learn and grow in the role.
