The successful candidate will be responsible for performing Predictive Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on assets to maximize plant availability and maintain production.

This is a permanent, full-time position operating on a 4-on, 4-off shift basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with health and safety policies and regulations.
  • Carry out risk assessments and implement controls to minimize risks.
  • Lock off dangerous machinery and repair or notify.
  • Resolve breakdowns, perform PMs, and work on project/improvement works to minimize production downtime.
  • Actively seek to undertake PMs on offline machinery.
  • Complete PM sheets with observations, jobs completed, and recommendations.
  • Gain information from production personnel to speed up fault-finding.
  • Ensure engineering logs and computer systems are up-to-date.
  • Communicate professionally with external persons.

Qualifications and Skills

  • HNC, City & Guilds, or time-served apprentice with relevant engineering qualifications.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Electrically biased or multi-skilled.
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems experience desirable.
  • Flexible approach with a positive 'can-do' attitude.
  • Experience with SAP desirable.
