Senior Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering Team at our food crumbing and coating production facility in Gainsborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing PPM and reactive maintenance on assets to maximise plant availability and maintain production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comply with health and safety policies and regulations.
  • Support the Maintenance Manager and supervise technicians and contractors on shift.
  • Carry out risk assessments and implement controls to minimise risk.
  • Lock off dangerous machinery and repair as necessary.
  • Resolve breakdowns, perform PMs, and work on project/improvement works to minimise production downtime.
  • Actively seek to undertake PMs on offline machinery.
  • Complete PM sheets and file with the Maintenance Planner.
  • Gain information from production personnel to speed up fault-finding.
  • Ensure engineering logs and computer systems are up-to-date.
  • Communicate professionally with external persons.
Requirements:
  • HNC, City & Guilds, or time-served apprentice with relevant engineering qualifications.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Electrically or mechanically biased, or multi-skilled.
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems experience desirable.
  • Flexible approach with a positive 'can-do' attitude.
  • Experience of SAP desirable.
