Job Title: Shift Production Technician

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for the assembly and testing of electronic assemblies in the manufacture of small wind turbines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assembly of electrical/electronic components into finished assemblies to a standard acceptable for field operation.
  • Final testing of assemblies and thorough completion of inspection documentation as required.
  • Packing off finished goods ready for despatch.
  • Kitting/sorting of components ready for manufacture.
  • Performing production tasks in other areas of the business (Mechanical or Composites) as required.
  • To work in compliance with the company's Quality Management System.
  • Keep the workshop clean and tidy and in a state suitable for visitors.
Requirements:
  • An interest in renewable energy manufacture.
  • Experience in a production environment (preferably electrical assembly) with good tool skills and general manufacturing ability.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety in a factory/production environment.
  • Experience in cable preparation including; crimping and general soldering skills preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
  • An understanding of the dangers of electricity and how to work safely where live voltages are present preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
