Senior Researcher in Statistical Science

Imperial College London seeks a highly skilled researcher to contribute to its esteemed Department of Mathematics, specifically within the Statistics Section. This fixed-term Chapman Fellowship is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to pursue an academic career in Statistics.
The successful candidate will be expected to produce original and independent research, publish in leading refereed journals, and participate in teaching and administration. A key role will be to engage with the College's thriving ecosystem of seminars, conferences, and events, as well as to teach students at undergraduate level and supervise MSc theses.
The ideal candidate will possess a track record of research in Statistics, drive to engage actively with the College's community, and background and motivation for undergraduate teaching. They will also have the opportunity to continue their career at a world-leading institution, grow their profile in the international research community, and access sector-leading opportunities for promotion and progression.
- Develop innovative research in Statistics, collaborating with the Department of Mathematics and the College's research groups.
- Engage with the College's seminars, conferences, and events, showcasing research expertise and contributing to the College's vibrant academic community.
- Teach students at undergraduate level and supervise MSc theses, sharing expertise and guiding the next generation of researchers.
- Contribute to the College's administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the Department of Mathematics and the Statistics Section.
