Research Opportunity in Data Science

We are seeking an exceptional researcher to join our team at the London School of Economics and Political Science. As a Data Science Professor, you will contribute to the intellectual life of the School through conducting and publishing outstanding quality research, engaging in high-quality teaching, and participating in School and Department activities.

The successful candidate will have an established track record of research at an international level and a completed (or nearly completed) PhD in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related area. You will maintain an active research programme and contribute to the general work of the department, including teaching of computing and machine learning courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and publish high-quality research in data science
  • Teach computing and machine learning courses
  • Participate in School and Department activities

Requirements:

  • Established track record of research at an international level
  • Completed (or nearly completed) PhD in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related area
  • Experience of undertaking research on data science methodology
