Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist- Neurodisability

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our Neurodisability Team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. As a specialist in speech and language therapy, you will work with children and young people with complex communication difficulties, including those with autism, language disorder, and intellectual disability.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose children and young people with complex communication difficulties, including those with autism, language disorder, and intellectual disability.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication skills and outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, and other therapists, to provide comprehensive care to children and young people.
- Provide training and education to families, carers, and other professionals on communication strategies and techniques.
- Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies related to speech and language therapy.
Requirements
- Recognized Speech and Language Therapy Degree or equivalent.
- Registered Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
- Health Professions Council license to practice.
- Short courses in Specialist Area (AAC, Autism, Language disorder).
