About the Role
The Prax Group is a leading multinational conglomerate in the energy market, with a strong presence in the global downstream petroleum industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Negotiator to join our high-performing sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively grow and develop commercial activity to maximize volume and margin, with a focus on direct sales.
- Manage a portfolio of spot customer accounts, acting as the primary point of contact and providing focused account management.
- Collaborate closely with Supply, Logistics, and Finance Teams to ensure the company's position is maintained.
- Communicate commercial spot pricing on a daily basis and provide accurate monthly and annual demand forecasts to support planning.
- Liaise with Operations and Finance teams to resolve customer administrative queries promptly.
- Monitor and manage customer credit balances, adhering to the company's Credit and KYC procedures.
- Manage outstanding balances with customers and ensure timely resolution.
- Enter sales and quotes accurately and timely into the company's operating system.
- Participate in group and sales development initiatives as required by the Spot Sales Manager.
- Attend internal and external training to develop industry knowledge, skills, and capabilities.
- Monitor industry developments, including new legislation and market trends.
- Represent the business at industry events and seminars.
Requirements
- A working knowledge of the downstream petroleum industry in the UK.
- Demonstrable business-to-business sales and account management experience.
- Ability to appreciate market opportunities and develop strategic plans.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Understanding of the sales cycle and key processes, with the ability to interface with other internal stakeholders.
- Strong reporting ability and experience with product pricing and supply economic calculations.
