Service Express is seeking a skilled Network Support Engineer to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide operational assistance and support to customers and internal teams within the Managed Services business.
  • Provide out-of-hours on-call support for network and security issues.
  • Manage escalations to vendors and ensure customers are kept up-to-date on progress.
  • Attend customer meetings and provide network and security technical solutions.
  • Assist with data availability testing and invocation.
  • Perform hands-on activities in data centers, including cabling and equipment commissioning.
  • Own and manage customer transitions activities.
  • Resolve support calls and attend customer sites as needed.
  • Undertake training to maintain up-to-date knowledge of Cisco and Checkpoint support.
  • Ensure change control processes are followed for all changes to customer systems.
  • Attend customer sites to demonstrate network and security knowledge.
  • Communicate knowledge throughout the team to improve overall knowledge.
  • Assist and train Service Desk staff.
  • Work with SDMs to provide network and security technical knowledge to customers.
  • Provide documentation for standard Service Express solutions.
  • Implement best practices and comply with network and security procedures.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Network and Security Engineer or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a supervisory role with junior team members.
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP or relevant experience.
  • Checkpoint CSSA/CCSE or relevant experience.
  • Proven track record of supporting WAN/LAN-based network services.
  • Experience with network security and firewalls (CISCO and Checkpoint products).
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft applications (including VISIO).
  • Experience with network management and diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain current market knowledge.
  • Ability to produce technical documents and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to assist and train staff.
  • Excellent problem determination, analytical, and resolution skills.
  • Transformation and automation of repetitive tasks.
  • Provide day-to-day support communications.
  • Good communication skills internally and externally.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative.
  • Good telephone manner.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills.
