Job Title: Support Worker for SEMH Provision

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team at a Primary SEMH Provision, supporting pupils aged 5-11 who display challenging behaviours. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, ideal for someone who thrives in a nurturing yet structured environment.

Key Details:
  • Role: Support Worker
  • Location: Primary SEMH Provision (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health)
  • Age Group: 5-11 years old
  • Start Date: ASAP (trial day required)
  • Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
  • Rate of Pay: £12.90 per hour
Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized support to pupils with challenging behaviours.
  • Help pupils develop coping strategies and positive behavioural patterns.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Adapt your approach to meet each child's individual needs.
  • Be a role model for positive behaviour, providing emotional and social support.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children in an SEMH or similar setting is preferred.
  • Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Strong communication skills to build trust with pupils and collaborate with colleagues.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
