Job Description

CK Group is seeking a highly skilled LC-MS Scientist to join our team in a permanent capacity. As a key member of our Toxicology Research and Development Team, you will be responsible for carrying out method development and validation projects under the guidance of our R&D Lead Analytical Toxicologist.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Method Development and Validation: Develop, validate, and implement new methods in line with ISO and the Forensic Science Regulator's Codes of Practice & Conduct.
  • Protocol Development: Draw up validation protocols and produce validation reports in compliance with our Quality Management System.
  • Process Evaluation and Improvement: Conduct technical evaluations and refine existing processes to develop more efficient and robust methods.
  • Quality Control Support: Support investigations into Quality Control trends when required.
  • Quality Investigations: Advise on and carry out quality investigations.
  • Training and Development: Deliver training to our Toxicology analytical team when required.
Requirements:
  • Drug Extraction Techniques: Excellent understanding of drug extraction techniques, notably LLE and SPE.
  • Chromatographic Techniques: Thorough understanding of immunoassay and chromatographic techniques (such as ELISA, HS-GC-FID, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, and HPLC-DAD).
  • Instrumentation Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting LC-MS/MS instrumentation, both hardware and software.
  • Good Laboratory Practice: Thorough understanding of good laboratory practice, including ISO 17025 and anti-contamination protocols.
  • Technical Skills: Technically minded and able to problem solve effectively.
  • Equipment Familiarity: Familiarity with AB Sciex, Thermo, and/or Waters equipment.
