CBSbutler, a leading provider of sophisticated electronic components, instruments & communications products, is seeking a Maintenance Engineering Specialist to join their plant maintenance team in Chelmsford.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience within a Facilities maintenance role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

This role offers a competitive salary of £54,000 total package with a basic salary of £36,000, shift allowance, call out allowance, and excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide technical support and quality service to other areas of the business.
  • To maintain an effective facilities commitment by working a shift cover scheme for maintenance functions for out of hour's tasks and breakdowns.
  • To manage and control allocated Preventative Maintenance tasks on plant maximising utilisation ensuring any potential risks are identified, managed and proactively communicated to internal customers.
  • To ensure all statutory/legal maintenance tasks adhere to company procedures, policies, and legal requirements always.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a well-established company in the heart of Essex. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the existing plant and equipment required for the needs of the business.

Requirements:
  • Able to work shifts consisting of a rolling programme of five 10 hour days on and three days off.
  • Knowledge and experience of Preventative Maintenance.
  • Minimum of NVQ (3) or equivalent in Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering is essential.
